PLEASE READ THIS WARRANTY: IF YOU FIND THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY ARE NOT SATISFACTORY, PLEASE RETURN THE ENGINE TO YOUR SUPPLIER BEFORE INSTALLATION FOR A FULL REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

The manufacturer must approve warranty claims. All defective parts must be returned to the manufacturer. All claims must be accompanied with a manufacturer's reference number.

LABOR REIMBURSEMENT:

Labor reimbursement will (NOT) be paid for an engine removal unless a defect caused during manufacturing is present in the short block, all other repairs will be done in the field.

THE LABOR REIMBURSEMENT RATE IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:

All warranty labor reimbursement will be paid to the original installing mechanic or owner only, and will be at the following hourly rate, regardless of who performs the warranty work. No labor allowance shall be given except as set forth unless Premium or Extra Premium warranties were purchased.

SHOP RATE:

Standard limited warranty: Reimbursement for labor cost for repairing or replacing a defective unit is limited to $35.00 per hour for the first year only based on time allowed in MITCHELL's TIME GUIDE. No labor will be paid thereafter. The Standard Warranty comes with a maximum of $400.00 total parts and labor coverage on an authorized field repair or engine exchange.

LABOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR SELF-INSTALLERS OR PRIVATE PARTY INSTALLERS:

$13.00 PER HOUR FOR THE FIRST YEAR ONLY BASED ON MITCHELL'S TIME GUIDE.

THE WARRANTY PERIOD ON PARTS IS AS FOLLOWS:

Long Block Warranty: Passenger car and pick-ups, 3/4 ton and under long blocks are seven (7) years or 70,000 miles. If failure of a long block should occur during the first 24 months and it is determined the failure is due to a defect in workmanship or parts installed by the manufacturer, then the manufacturer at its option will replace or repair the defective unit to the original buyer. During the balance of warranty, the manufacturer will replace to the original buyer a replacement long block or parts at half (1/2) the current retail price.

Long block warranty on turbo equipped, one ton and above chassis, commercial farm equipment, diesel and amarine application is limited to twelve (12) months or 12, 000 miles.

Parts supplied by the manufacturer but not installed by the manufactuer that fail during the warranty period carry their manufacturers warranty only. No labor is allowed for their replacement or labor to remove and replace the long block if required due to their failure.

PREMIUM LIMITED WARRANTY: Has the same conditions as the standard warranty except the labor rate for the first year is $55.00 per hour, with a maximum of $700.00 for an authorized defective engine change.

EXTRA PREMIUM LIMITED WARRANTY: Has the same conditions as the standard warranty except the labor rate for the first year is $65.00 per hour, with a maximum of $850.00 for an authorized defective engine warranty.

LONG BLOCK REPLACEMENT: The manufacturer will not replace an alleged defective long block until original long block is returned to the manufacturer. The manufacturer reserves the right to determine whether to replace a long block or to repair it.

DISCLAIMERS:

The manufacturer shall not be responsible for damage to other parts or u nits not su pplied by the manufacturer. Such parts include but are not limited to transmissions, clutch, pressure plate, engine heaters, oil pans, etc. No responsibility will be assumed, and no warranty is given or implied on any engine damaged by improper installation or damaged by failure of any parts not supplied by the manufacturer. Also, any engine modified beyond original factory specification, either by the manufacturer at the customer's request, or by the customer, shall relieve the manufactuer of any responsibilities or warrany.

NO OTHER WARRANTY IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED

AFTER INSTALLATION, ENGINE MUST HAVE EMISSION TEST OR DIAGNOSTIC SCAN TO INSURE A LEAN BURN OR RICH FUEL CONDITION IS NOT PRESENT.

Receipt for testing must accompany warranty validation form.

The diagnostic or emission testing must be completed within ninety (90) days, if engine is not tested, this warranty is void.
